These are some of the startups and projects that I have contributed to.

Goin

Barcelona, Spain

Goin is a fintech startup that allows millennials save and invest using automatic saving methods and investment vehicles like crowdlending, etfs and cryptocurrencies.

I joined Goin as the first employee and started in the finance side but I quickly moved to Data. In the time being, Goin moved from a team of 4 to 40, over €8M in private funding and over 400k users. 

The work at Goin consisted in a wide range of areas compending Data Engineering, Data Science and Business Intelligence. Some achievements:
  • Designed and built from scratch the company’s data infrastructure in GCP. Built the DWH following dimensional modelling principles and all the ETLs using Apache Airflow and Apache Beam
  • Developed data-enhanced CRM campaigns that led to a 3% increase in week-4 retention and 0.6% increase in overall conversion funnels 
  • Built the data infrastructure necessary and created a dashboard that helped customer success distribute their workforce more efficiently. The average time to first response moved from 25 minutes to 6 minutes
  • Created a predictive model that estimated the topic of the customer support issues which helped automate over 16% of the conversations

Consortia Manager

Copenhagen, Denmark

Consortia Manager is a SaaS startup that helps consortiums, individual libraries and research institutions manage their research subscriptions. Consortia Manager is present in 5 continents an has over 12000 member institutions.

The work at Consortia Manager was to build from scratch the Data Infrastructure in order to support Data Products to boost the company revenue. In this case, a Data Lake and Data Warehouse was built on AWS using internal data and external data from the company’s customers. The data was aggregated and offered these analytics to the customers in a production-ready format. 

Goodwall

Geneve, Switzerland

Goodwall is a social media startup that helps students connect, discover job opportunities and form themselves.

The work at Goodwall consisted in designing the Data Strategy, Building the first Data Capabilities of the company and Hiring the right people for its use and expansion. Some of the tasks and problems tackled:

  • Data Strategy
  • Redefinition of internal and external KPIs
  • Build the Data Lake and Data Wharehouse in GCP
  • Join acquisition data (Appslfyer) with product analytics (Mixpanel)
  • Solve problems regarding Data Consistency between marketing and product
  • Hire the first Data Scientist to give use to the new Data Infrastructure
